January 11 - January 31

Nicole and Joel just had their baby, a beautiful girl named Harlow Winter Kate Madden. In this contest, you keep a blog about the baby and get points for each blog post (limit of 3 posts per day). In addition, you get a point for every entry your "friend" makes (details below).

1. Create a blog anywhere that you like. For example, you can use blogger, or even set up a custom blog on your own webspace if you know how to.

2. Email your link to nicolefanorg@gmail.com with the subject "Nicole Richie Baby Blog Contest." This tells us you are entering the contest and so we know where your blog is.

3. Create a link to http://www.nicolerichie.org so that people can get more info on the contest and enter if they wish. Feel free to be creative, you can use a button, text link, anything.

4. Blog away (following the rules below of course)! Remember, 1 point for every post you make (up to 3 per day), and if you refer someone to join the contest, you get 1 point for every post that person makes!

Rules/Scoring:
-Each blog entry must be well written and cannot be thoughtless or a careless post made just to try to get a point. We will be the judge of this.
-Only blog entries that involve Nicole's baby will count. Remember, it's a blog about Nicole's baby, not about Nicole or Joel.
-You get 1 point for every blog entry, limit of 3 per day.
-If you referred a friend and they also have a blog, you must put their name in the following format, AND they must have your name in that format as well.
-You are allowed to quote, you should use your own words to summarize if possible. Your blog shouldn't simply be a collection of articles copied from other sources.

E.g., if your name is Amy, and somewhere in a visible position on your blog you need to put:
I convinced the following Nicole fans to blog: Mike [where Mike will link to mike's blog].

Your friend needs to put:
Convinced by the following Nicole fan to blog: Amy [with Amy linked to Amy 's blog].

If a link is missing in either of your blogs then you will not get the points for your friend's blog. Also, your friend must be someone you referred, you cannot simply go around to blogs asking them to add you as a friend.



End Date
Contest ends: January 31, 2008. Winners will be announced shortly after.

Prizes
There will be prizes for the top 3 blogs with the highest number of points. Each will receive a $10 gift card to amazon/itunes/starbucks anywhere else.

Favorite Baby Blog Award
Also, we will pick out our top favorite blog which will receive the "Favorite Baby Blog Award." It should be a high quality blog with good content, and this person will receive an Eau de Toilette from Bath & Body Works. If you want to put a price tag on it, this is valued over $15 and is great to have for yourself or makes a great gift for a girl, (or you can probably even sell it if you win this award but don't want it, just to give you an incentive to try to have a nice blog). You can place in the top 5 and also receive the favorite baby blog award.
